1. Make sure in winter you are always cleansing your skin out of the shower, the hot water can dry the skin out too much which then will cause inflammation in the skin. We highly recommend in the cooler months to swap to a milk or cream cleanser as these are more nourishing and gentle on the skin.
2. Avoid stripping your skins barrier and natural oils by cleansing twice a day, just cleanse once. We would highly recommend toning in the morning as toning has a cleansing and hydrating solution to help balance out your natural oil flow.
3. If you are experiencing dry skin on your face, legs and arms, your body could be depleted in essential fatty acids.
We would recommend the EFA's tablets from O Cosmedics - These essential Fat Acids tablets are high in omega 3, 6 & 9. Taking x2 tablets a day will help support heathy blood circulation and glow to the peripheral areas of the body (legs , hands and feet )

4. Moisturize! In winter, your skin is more likely to dry out and possibly get irritated, it is crucial to keep your skin hydrated and moisturized to prevent this. Opt for a thicker moisturizer that contains ingredients like hyaluronic acid, ceramides, and glycerin. This helps to lock in moisture and improve your skin's barrier function.
5. Protect your skin from the elements! If you are going to be outside for extended periods of time, make sure to wear a scarf or hat to protect your face and neck from the cold wind. Also, don't forget to wear SPF in case you will be in the sun. Even though it is winter and the sun doesn't feel as strong, UV rays can still damage your skin and speed up the ageing process.
