Lately we've been reading and seeing alot on celebrities embracing their natural beauty and going against the grain by choosing not to use filters, cover up with makeup or go under the knife with plastic surgery.
Pamela Anderson at Paris Fashion Week may be of the first that comes to mind. 'Braving' the red carpet with no make up on. This was an amazing act of self confidence and resilience to stand against societal norms and the pressure to 'cover up' and look a certain way, but instead chose to walk out in her own true skin in front of the flashing lights.
Another great example is Isabella Rosselini gracing the covers of the prestigious Vogue Italia, with no retouching and looking glamorous as ever.
One may say that the act of going bare may be easier for someone as beautiful as Anderson, or as elegant as Rosselini. Maybe? Or is the act of going bare in fact as simple as you vs you? And by choosing to embrace your best self, without covering up, are you actually choosing the greatest form of self love that there is?
Who knows. Either way, we love it and cant get enough of it at The Skin Bar.
