During Your Skin Needling Treatment: What to Expect

Your Skin Needling appointment is all about creating transformation — with comfort, safety, and great results at the core. Here’s what happens during your treatment so you know exactly what to expect.

Does it hurt?

You may feel mild discomfort, but we apply a medical-grade numbing cream beforehand to make the experience as comfortable as possible. Most clients describe the sensation as a light scratch or vibration.

Will I bleed?

Pinpoint bleeding is expected — it's a sign the treatment is working at the correct depth. This bleeding is minimal, superficial, and stops almost immediately. It’s part of the collagen-stimulating process and nothing to worry about.

What happens during the appointment?

  1. We cleanse and prep your skin
  2. A pre-peel may be applied to boost results (depending on your skin)
  3. The skin needling pen is used across targeted areas, section by section
  4. The Uber peel is applied to feed and heal the skin
  5. You’ll be guided through aftercare and recommended a treatment plan

Appointments typically take 30–45 minutes depending on the areas treated.

What device do you use?

We use a professional-grade clinical needling device that delivers precise depth control (0.25mm to 2.5mm) across different zones of the face and body. This ensures maximum results with minimal discomfort — far more advanced than at-home rollers or cosmetic pens.

Will the treatment be customised to my skin?

Absolutely. We adjust depth, pressure, technique, and post-care based on your skin:

  • Thickness in each area
  • Your primary concerns (scarring, texture, pigment, etc.)
  • Your sensitivity level
  • Whether you’re new to needling or midway through a series

Can I combine this with other treatments?

Yes — LED therapy is commonly used as an add-on during your Skin Needling session to speed up recovery and reduce inflammation. We may also recommend alternating Skin Needling with RF Needling as part of a longer-term skin plan. Your therapist will guide you based on what your skin needs.
