During your RF Appointment: What to Expect

Your RF treatment is tailored to your skin and goals — and we’ll walk you through every step to ensure you’re comfortable and confident. Here’s what happens during your session.

Does RF Needling hurt?

We apply a medical-grade numbing cream beforehand to keep you comfortable. Most clients feel warmth, tingling, or light pressure — not pain. Areas like the cheeks and jawline are often more sensitive, while other areas feel like a light zap or vibration.

Will I bleed?

You may experience light pinpoint bleeding, but it’s typically minimal and superficial. Bleeding is more common in deeper settings (for scars or thicker skin) and resolves quickly.

What happens during the appointment?

  1. Your skin is cleansed and prepped
  2. The RF device is applied in sections, with adjustable depth and energy
  3. A post-treatment serum or calming product is applied
  4. We walk you through your personalised aftercare plan

Expect your appointment to take around 45–60 minutes.

What device do you use?

We use the Sylfirm X — the world’s only dual-wave RF microneedling system. It delivers both pulsed and continuousradio frequency, meaning we can:

  • Target pigmentation and vascular concerns with precision
  • Treat multiple depths in one pass
  • Lift, firm and tightening
  • Achieve better results with minimal discomfort or downtime

It’s TGA and FDA approved, and one of the most advanced devices globally.

Will the settings be customised for me?

Yes — completely. We adjust:

  • Needle depth (0.3 mm to 4 mm)
  • RF energy level
  • Pulse mode (for pigment/vascular) vs. continuous mode (for lifting/scarring)
  • Number of passes and treatment zones

Whether you're treating redness, laxity, or scarring, your session is 100% tailored.

Can I combine this with other treatments?

Definitely. We often combine or alternate RF with:

  • Skin needling (for collagen and texture)
  • Cosmelan (for pigment control)
  • LED light therapy (for calming and repair)
  • Exosomes (for improved results)

Your therapist will help plan a sequence that gets the best results.
